This April, remember the 'Spirit of the 1940s' at Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower in Gosport.

Come and join us as we recreate the atmosphere of those momentous years in a weekend of living history.

Explosion is located in the former Royal Naval Ordnance Deport at Priddy-s Hard, near Gosport, in Hampshire and with a hundred re-enactors on site over the weekend, our atmospheric historic buildings will really be coming back to life. Highlights of the day include the following twice daily demonstrations:

- American paratroops of the 101st Airborne Division give a demonstration of street-fighting techniques, ably assisted by Explosion's own 'Dad's Army', the local Home Guard.
- Naval gunners give a dramatic demonstration of firepower using Explosion's 4.7-inch gun.
- Head for the shelters when the sirens sound for our 1940s air raid!
- Have a glass of wine and a baguette in our cafe whilst watching our Allo Allo style sketch…leesten very carefully, I shall say zis only once
