GAFIRS (Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service) is an independent Lifeboat & Inshore Rescue Service. GAFIRS provides emergency lifeboat services in the Solent and Portsmouth Harbour 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. On average GAFIRS responds to 140 emergency lifesaving calls per year.
