A Walk around Alverstoke

Every Monday

Meet at Parish Centre, Green Rd, Alverstoke, at 11am. Walk lasts about 30 minutes. Various routes around Alverstoke. Not suitable for wheelchairs. Tea & Biscuits on return to Parish centre. Minimum donation of 50p.

A Walk through the Alver Valley

Every Tuesday

The walk lasts approximately 1 hour and meets at 10.30am at Grange Farm Car Park, Little Woodham, Howe Lane, Rowner. Not suitable for wheelchairs, due to rough paths. Stout shoes and wet weather gear if it looks like rain.

17th Century Village, Little Woodham

Opens 27th March

Take a tour of the 17th Century living village and meet the  "villagers", dressed in period costume. Little Woodham's is a village that exist to teach the living history of 17th Century rural life. The villagers involve you and your children in their daily lives. See them prepare timber with the sawyers at their camp, or speak with villagers as they make lace, or card and spin wool, watch the Blacksmith as he beats hot iron into shape. There is even an ale house in the village where you can spend some time and speak to the villagers inside.

The 17th Century Living History Village is open to the public on various days throughout the year from 10:30am to 4.30pm. You walking tour will take approximately two hours.
